Welcome to our website! Subsurface Evaluations, Inc. is a geologic consulting firm providing high-tech, specialty geophysical surveys and hydrogeological evaluations. Our mission is to provide specialty-expertise in sinkhole development potential, groundwater flow through caves and springs, and detection of buried man-made environmental liabilities. More than anything else, we intend to produce useful results that can be applied to solve your problems. We serve the leading geotechnical engineering companies, environmental consultants and government agencies in the southeastern United States of America.
For 20 years, SEI has developed a reputation for quality evaluation of geophysical and geologic data, performed in a timely manner. We remain current on the geological literature, rules and regulations related to water retention basin permitting, wellhead protection, insurance commission rules and regulations related to sinkholes and cause-of-subsidence investigations. We offer our clients the most advanced field and office equipment for evaluations, mapping and report reproduction in-house. Carl R. L. Brown, P.G., Vice President, now leads geologic operations for SEI. Mr. Brown has more than 35 years of geologic, hydrogeologic, geotechnical and geophysical experience.
SEI has two offices to serve the State of Florida in Tampa and Orlando.
The firm was founded in 1987 by the late William L. Wilson, P.G. Mr. Wilson was a nationally recognized expert in the evaluation of sinkhole development hazards, interpretation of GPR in karst terrain and contaminant transport through cave networks. SEI is now headed by his son, Robert J. Wilson, President, and guided by Diane C. Wilson, Chairman of the Board.
